turbo® is the only metal tractor precleaner that offers the “top-down” air flow design— a design invented and patented right here. Our precleaners draw dirty air through the top of the unit, funneling it down the wall of the main chamber in a cyclone style design, where it enters the blower chamber and encounters an ultra-high velocity spinner. This flow naturally ejects dirt, dust, and any other debris down to ONE MICRON in size out of the discharge ports at the base, leaving nothing but the cleanest possible air entering your tractor’s air filter and engine. A turbo tractor precleaner equals maximum engine performance and a longer engine life.
While some of the competition have tried to replicate turbo’s patented designs, many typically rely on “REVERSE AXIAL” air flow. This is when the air is drawn in through the base of the unit, which forces it to thenmake a U-turn, adding airflow restriction and drastically reducing the power capacity and output of the tractor’s engine. Beyond reduced performance and power, restricted airflow to the tractor’s engine will also result in the need for more frequent engine filter replacements.
